Hook earrings in Argentium silver with a star pattern and dangling tourmaline beads.
Another tidepool-inspired design, these remind me of the delicate, long-armed starfish that move elegantly through the water. The pastel tones of the tourmaline beads add sparkle and echo the bright aquarium quality of the pools I love to visit here in Oregon.
I made these earrings from a disc that I textured and then overlaid with wirework and granulation, surrounded by a twisted silver rope. Below the domes hang beads of gold, pink, and green tourmaline- a versatile stone that comes in many candy-like colours.
They hang on sturdy, comfortable hooks with a finished back so they look good from all sides.
The domes are 3/4 inch across, and the earrings are 1 3/4 inch long from the hook to the longest dangle. They come with soft rubber security stoppers you can use to make sure they stay in place.
